Cyrus has become General Hospital’s signature Jason Voorhees with the way he’s been offing patients one by one. As many wonder why the former drug kingpin has turned into a serial killer, this may be the only reason that makes sense.
Cyrus’ Backstory
Cyrus (Jeff Kober) arrived on the scene in 2020 as somewhat of a serial killer, seeking revenge on the cops who sent him to prison for a decade. He had two of them offed before setting his sights on Taggert (ex-Réal Andrews) and Jordan (then played by Briana Nicole Henry), forcing the then-cop to get him exonerated and released from prison.

After the big reveal that he’s the brother of Martin (Michael E. Knight) and half-brother of Laura (Genie Francis), Cyrus committed several notable crimes, including kidnapping TJ (Tajh Bellow) and most recently, pulling the uncle card to try and get a comatose Lulu (Alexa Havins) sent to an out-of-state clinic.
God’s Work
Since his time locked away for his crimes, Cyrus has often claimed to be a changed man who’s found God. He’s seen the light and has a whole new outlook on life, which has led to his volunteer work throughout Port Charles, including at the hospital, where he’s been in the perfect position to off patients one by one.
So far, the digitalis death total is two — Sam (ex-Kelly Monaco) and Dex (ex-Evan Hofer) — while Michael (Chad Duell) was saved from overdosing and a past heart attack victim’s autopsy may confirm the same fate. Not to mention, Lulu’s ventilator mysteriously turned off, almost killing her before she woke up from her coma.
Viewers know Cyrus is behind most — if not all — these events at GH, but why? Instead of Cyrus being the ruthless killer he’s known for being, is it possible his newfound testimony has led him to playing God with the GH patients and trying to ease them of their suffering?
