On General Hospital, Esme Prince — for reasons we don’t understand to further an agenda she has yet to make clear — filmed Josslyn Jacks and Cameron Webber having sex and uploaded it to the Internet…while making it look like their friend, Trina Robinson, committed the crime.

And, yes, revenge porn is a criminal offense in New York State, which is where the show takes place. We get wanting to frame Trina — though we still don’t understand how that will get Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) what she wants, which is, presumably, breaking up Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) and Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) on Ryan Chamberlin’s (Jon Lindstrom) orders. What we don’t get is why Joss (Eden McCoy) and Cam’s (William Lipton) sexytimes would be of interest to anyone but them?

It’s 2022. Do you know how much homemade porn there is out there on the worldwide web? And how much of it is a lot more interesting than straight-up vanilla sex from a couple of teenagers in a relationship? It’s not like they were doing anything weird (at least, that we know of). It’s not like one of them was cheating on somebody else. It’s not like either was underage. So what’s the fuss?

Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) seem to be under the impression that the sex tape will be news because Joss is the stepdaughter of a celebrity. As a result, Alexis has promised to publish a sympathetic editorial about it in her newspaper. (Isn’t it adorable how Grandma Alexis thinks Gen Z — the demo Joss is most concerned about — knows what a newspaper is, much less reads one?)
And who is this said celebrity? Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), a small-town mob boss in sleepy, upstate New York. Oh, yeah, the doings of his stepdaughter are up there with Tommy and Pam and Paris Hilton. That entire family needs to get over themselves. Dude…nobody cares.
