Willow and Drew’s wedding on General Hospital was dramatic but also funny, thanks to the guests. Fans can’t stop talking about it.
Funny Start to the Wedding
The Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and Drew (Cameron Mathison) wedding was a serious affair. This awful couple was trying to bring their lives together under a web of lies. The bride had just discovered that the groom was sleeping with her mother, and looked like she was having a breakdown. But the comedy began even before she walked down the aisle.
Thank the stars that Liesl (Kathleen Gati) is back in Port Charles, where she belongs! Only she could walk into a wedding ceremony and say, “You promised me an open bar.” To be fair, anyone would need a drink to get through this fiasco. Elizabeth’s reply, “At the reception, not the church,” was perfect.
Once the guests had settled in their seats, it was comicly sad how few people showed up for them. We knew we were in for a show.
Let The Wedding Games Begin!
The drama went down when Willow did not say “I do,” but instead asked the groom if he had slept with her mother. Ric and Ava probably win the award for best reaction. Ric asked, “Did you know about this?” to which Ava told him to shush. She didn’t want to miss a moment. Their facial expressions and sliding down in their seats were classic.
Of course, Martin’s (Michael E. Knight) expressions were also fantastic, but All My Children fans couldn’t help but wonder whether the actor was remembering his time as “Tad the Cad,” who also slept with mother and daughter. Marty continued to be funny in his conversation with Lucy. “Hello pot, meet kettle.” Oh, how we wish those two would get back together! Speaking of Lucy, fans loved how she slinked away when the trouble began.
After Willow ran off, Kai offered Drew a ride home. Did he even hear what just went down? He is going to regret taking the congressman’s side over his girlfriend. Liesl ended the night as great as she began it, alone at the bar where she finally got her drink. “No one else is coming,” she said to the bartender.
