Dads on General Hospital haven’t always been the greatest, and 2024 has seen some questionable parenting. We’re looking at you, Sonny. Almost killing Dex in public where your pregnant daughter could see was not very fatherly.
Here is a look at some better dads in Port Charles
Second Runner Up
Michael (Chad Duell) may not be the greatest guy in Port Charles. He is a Quartermaine, after all, and is as ruthless in business as the rest of his family. But Michael’s soft spot is his children and the family he built with Willow (Katelyn MacMullen).
No matter what is going on, when Wiley (Viron Weaver) is around, Michael always has a smile on his face. His son knows how loved he is. Unfortunately, all will change because it looks like their family will be torn apart in 2025.

First Runner Up
Another great dad in 2024 was Jason (Steve Burton). Yes, Jason. He may have disappeared for a few years to save Carly (Laura Wright), but he has been there for his boys since his return. Jason knew not to push Jake (Hudson West) when he wasn’t ready but was by his side as soon as his son needed him. He was thrilled to help mom Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) when she couldn’t afford to send their son to art school.
Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) handled their dad’s return differently than his half-brother. He is so happy to have Jason back and the two have bonded. Jason also put Danny first when he agreed to move in with the Q’s to live with his son after Sam’s (Kelly Monaco) death.
And The Winner Is
Dante was super-dad in 2024. He has raised Rocco (Finn Carr) without mom Lulu (Alexa Havins) since she was in a coma. Dante also had a hand in caring for Danny and Scout (Cosette Abinante) while their dads were “missing” and even after their returns. He and Sam creted a loving home for all three kids which helped them to love each other and feel like real siblings.
Dante was heartbroken when Sam died, but his main goal was to put the children first. Like Jason, he moved into the Quartermaine estate so the kids could continue to be together.
