Poor, poor Carly Spencer on General Hospital. She doesn’t have to go to jail. That’s Drew’s problem. But she still has to pay a $5 million fine for insider trading. How dare she be asked to take responsibility for her actions! That’s for the little people.
And it doesn’t even make any sense. How can the government ask her to pay money she doesn’t have? What’s the logic of that? It’s a good thing Carly (Laura Wright) is a survivor. Here are three ways she can raise the money she should never have to pay in the first place.
Carly (Laura Wright) isn’t completely destitute. Does she not own her home? Her car? Her jewelry? Surely, she could sell some of it. All of it. That should raise a few bucks. And then there’s what her mother owns. Let’s start with Kelly’s.
Surely, Bobbie (Jacklyn Zeman) would be delighted to part with her beloved Aunt Ruby’s (Norma Connolly) business, if it’s to help Carly. Oh, and does Bobbie still have that brownstone she and Tony (Brad Maule) used to live in? More for Carly to hock!
Michael (Chad Duell) is a Quartermaine. And yet they have never paid Carly a penny of child support for doing such an amazing job raising their golden boy heir. Does that seem fair? Carly took the high road and never sued them when Michael was growing up. But that free ride is now over. Carly wants what they owe her. They can start with $5 million upfront. And then discuss other outstanding debts.
Carly declared that she clawed her way up from nothing. So why not do it again? And in exactly the same way as she did before. Man by man.
Carly married for money once. Twice. Three times. Four. She can do it again. Maybe Sonny (Maurice Benard) doesn’t want to play. But there’s always Jax (Ingo Rademacher). Sure, Jax always says he’s done with Carly. But then he always comes back in the end. He could pay her debts no sweat. If not for Carly, then for Joss (Eden McCoy). Jax would do anything for his little girl. Carly will be back on easy street before you know it!
