Katelyn MacMullen’s Willow Tait has been thrown into the deep end, figurately, ever since she committed to Michael Corinthos on General Hospital. The young lady has to deal with both Corinthos and Quartermaine drama! In the midst of the angst, there’s now some news to celebrate! Soap Hub is bestowing Performer of the Week honors for GH on Katelyn MacMullen for her response to finding out she’s pregnant with Michael’s child.

In some acting classes, students will do a trust exercise when they fall down only to be caught by another pupil. If MacMullen had ever done a class that called for that it has certainly paid off. An overwhelmed Willow was definitely going to go thud on the Metro Court pool deck until she was caught by Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Was it the stress of being caught in between Michael’s (Chad Duell) war with his dad that caused her to pass out — or something else? Off to GH, she went!
As a nursing student, Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) knows about medicine and rightfully questioned Dr. TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) as to why she had her first fainting spell since it occurred prior to becoming pregnant. (We expect that to be delved into later.) For now, Willow embraced the overwhelming news that she was with child. Her first concern was to break the news to Michael, unsure of how he’d feel about becoming a father once more.
Willow appreciated Michael’s concern; the businessman thought that there might be something medically wrong with the woman he loves. Willow ripped the adhesive strip off by quickly telling him that she was pregnant. We saw the relief in Willow’s eyes after Michael said he definitely wanted this baby. But then came Michael’s question — did Willow want to become a mother once more?

The answer was a resounding yes! Willow said she was in love with a baby she’d never even met! She feared that she might have some medical malady (we sure hope not!) but she was overjoyed to learn that she was expecting! “I have you and Wiley and now, our very own baby! Michael, I can’t ask for anything more!” Willow exclaimed.
Of course, we know that more is ahead for Willow — like eventually finding out that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is her mother. We can’t wait to see what else is in store for Willow and where Katelyn MacMullen will take her!
