Sidwell (Carlo Rota) came to Port Charles after first kidnapping Lucky (ex-Jonathan Jackson), and then coming very close to killing Anna (Finola Hughes) and Jason (Steve Burton). He promised that he was “just a businessman,” but the powers that be knew better. Laura (Genie Francis) and Jordan (Tanisha Harper) immediately had their defenses up. They were right, he is an evil villain.
After framing Laura for Dalton’s (Daniel Goddard) murder, he now has the mayor and local mob boss under his thumb. Jenz is using his power to try to take over all of Port Charles. But why?
A Cassadine Connection
The Cassadines have been trying to harm Port Charles residents for decades. It began with Luke (the late Anthony Geary), Laura, and the Ice Princess, but this family keeps coming back. They have kidnapped, murdered, and returned from the dead too many times to count.
Sidwell immediately bought and moved into the creepy Cassadine estate, Wyndemere. He then met with Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and showed her the infamous dagger that Helena (ex-Constance Towers) used to slit her mother’s throat, which Alexis had thrown into the harbor. He later sent it to her.
Now, he has carefully and quietly threatened Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) and Ace (Kieran and Karis Barry), who are both Cassadines. Plus, the family is always looking to harm Laura’s loved ones.
There is a Cassadine who is not often mentioned, Tony (the late André Landzaat). He froze to death in the ice chamber back on Cassadine Island in the 80s, but he may have had a child, and maybe that child is Sidwell coming back to avenge his father’s death. Stranger things have happened.
