From the time we first met Nina Reeves on General Hospital, we knew she only wanted one thing: To get back the daughter, and the family, that was stolen from her. Sure, she went about it in some underhanded ways. Drugging Ava Jerome and stealing Avery was a low point. But she’s mellowed over the years.

General Hospital: Getting Better

Her relationship with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has grounded her. And, even though she only learned Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) was her daughter after Nelle’s death, at least there was her grandson, Wiley, to lavish with affection. Now, Nina (Cynthia Watros) has another miracle. Turns out Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) is her other long-lost daughter. Alas, Willow wants nothing to do with evil, evil Nina.

Turnabout Is GH Fair Play

Nina tried being kind to her daughter. Nina tried declaring her love. Nina even tried to save Willow’s life. Nothing worked. Fine, then. It’s time for a new strategy.

If Willow wants nothing to do with Nina, Nina should honor her wishes. She should stop trying to connect with her child. And she should stop being her doormat. Nina should keep on attempting to have a relationship with Wiley. The boy obviously loves her. But Willow? Forget Willow.

Nina Reeves: Dazed and Confused

Willow is used to the world, putting her needs first. Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) let her call all the shots on not just Wiley, but also the fate of their unborn daughter. He kept stressing that nothing was more important than Willow. Now, everyone is rallying around Willow — Carly (Laura Wright), Josslyn (Eden McCoy), and Drew (Cameron Mathison). It’s a Willow love-fest.

So how confused would she be if Nina doesn’t continue her wallowing? If she shrugs and says, “OK, you’re an adult. If you don’t want to have a relationship with me, suit yourself.” Willow won’t know how to react. She won’t know what to do with herself. And this could be exactly what will drive her straight into Nina’s arms.
