A kinder, gentler Britt exited General Hospital in 2023. An angry, cranky Britt has returned.
Britt On The Warpath
The 2023 version of Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) was GH Co-Chief of Staff and worked well with Terry (Cassandra James). Dare we say they even became friends? She had a best friend in Brad (Parry Shen), loved her family, and cared very much for Jason (Steve Burton). The snarky, entitled Britt was still in there, but she was softer than she was when she first came to Port Charles.
Britt returned with a chip on her shoulder. She is angry at the world, and she may have good reason, but we don’t know why yet. Much of her anger is directed toward Jason. He definitely did her dirty when he decided to marry Carly (Laura Wright) long ago, but by the time he “died,” they were well on their way back to each other. She seems to have forgotten that.
Britt’s Obsession With Rocco/Ben
This obsession with Rocco (Finn Carr) has come out of nowhere. Long ago, Britt stole Lulu (Alexa Havins) and Dante’s (Dominic Zamprogna) embryo and passed it off as hers and Patrick’s (Jason Thompson). She gave birth to and raised the baby she named Ben for a year. Eventually, the truth came out, and he was given to his real parents.
Britt had moved past all that way before she disappeared. It was a non-issue, but now that she’s back, she suddenly wants to claim Rocco has her own. She is even calling him Ben.
Lulu can be difficult, but she tried to speak to Britt with good intentions. The ex-Chief of Staff had no interest in compromising and made it clear that she was ready for battle. The whole thing is odd because she had let all of this go years before she “died.” Why the change?
There was a recent glimpse of kindness towards Jason when she heard about Monica’s (the late Leslie Charleson) death. Is this a sign of what’s to come? We love a snarky Britt, but not a mean one.
