Nina Reeves Corinthos is the worst person to ever infect the sanctity that is General Hospital. It’s one thing to commit a crime. Who in Port Charles hasn’t committed a crime or twelve? Committing a crime can be forgiven. It should be forgiven. It’s the Christian thing to do. But snitching about a crime? Being a stool pigeon? And for selfish, self-serving reasons? That’s beyond the Pale! Anyone can make a mistake and commit a crime. But reporting a crime was a deliberate, evil act. There can be no mercy.
Sure, the bleeding hearts among you might argue that Nina (Cynthia Watros) merely told the truth. Since when does that matter? The truth is a weapon used to hurt people, nothing more. Anna (Finola Hughes) told the truth when she figured out Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) stalked and harassed her. Was Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) pleased? No! Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) told the truth when she said Nikolas (Adam Huss) kept her prisoner. Now Laura’s (Genie Francis) son is in prison. You see? The truth is an objective bad, only told by objectively bad people.
Others might suggest that Sonny (Maurice Benard) shouldn’t rush his divorce from Nina. He should take some time to really think about whether it’s really what he wants.
Do you know who takes time to really think things through? Indecisive people. And that is not who Sonny is, which is why he already served Nina with divorce papers. If Sonny ever stopped and thought things through, he might not have shot Dante (Dominic Zamprogna). He might not have shot Carly (Laura Wright). He might not have rejected Brenda (Vanessa Marcil). How awful his life would have been then!
Nina reported Carly and Drew’s (Cameron Mathison) crime. Who does something like that? Sonny has every right to be furious, he has every right to end his marriage, and he has every right to urge the rest of Port Charles to do the same. After all, if Sonny does it, it can’t be wrong.
