Some of our favorite General Hospital moms are constantly crossing the line between concerned and overbearing. There have been many times when Carly, Lulu, and Nina have ventured into dangerous territory trying to protect their children, and there is no end in sight.

Key Takeaways

  • Lulu should loosen the reins to have better relationships with Rocco and Charlotte.
  • Carly is afraid for Joss, but Joss loves her job.
  • Nina is committing crimes for Willow.

Lulu Is Driving Her Kids Away

Lulu (Alexa Havins) hasn’t had it easy. She didn’t give birth to either Rocco (Finn Carr) or Charlotte (Bluesy Burke), so we can see how she feels she missed out. Then there was the whole seven-year coma thing.

She is now back with her family, but is not handling the parenting of teens very well. Both kids have gotten themselves into pretty dangerous situations, so we can understand that she wants to keep them safe. Lulu’s problem is that she doesn’t communicate well with them. Her solutions are always to lock them up in the house or keep them from other loved ones.

Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) warned her that she would drive her daughter away, and he was right. If she had given Charlotte time with her dad, their relationship might not have deteriorated as it did. The same goes for Rocco with Britt (Kelly Thiebaud). Lulu has been too controlling, and it is causing damage.

Carly Doesn’t Know When To Stop

Carly (Laura Wright) is a great mom, but she tends to go overboard. She is concerned about Josslyn (Eden McCoy) becoming a WSB Agent. Who wouldn’t be? It’s a dangerous job.

She addressed her concerns with her daughter, but Joss is as stubborn as her mom. She insists that she loves her job and is not going anywhere. But Carly didn’t stop there.

The Metro Court owner went to anyone and everyone to help talk Josslyn out of her job, to no avail. She schemed with Valentin and even went to Jack (Chris McKenna) to insist that he fire her daughter. Nothing worked.

Josslyn’s new assignment is to be CEO of her father’s company. It will appear that she has left the WSB. Carly will be happy until she realizes that it is all a lie. Who knows how she will react then?

Nina Is The Worst Of The Worst

Nina (Cynthia Watros) only recently discovered that Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) is her daughter. Her idea of making up for lost time is to go along with whatever Willow wants.

That might not be so bad with anyone else, but helping this daughter means blackmailing, scheming, and covering up attempted murder. Nina needed to draw the line long ago. She didn’t, so now she is complicit in all of Willow’s crimes. At the rate she is going, Nina will probably take the blame and go to prison, while Willow remains free to wreak havoc in Port Charles.

There is bad mothering, and then there is dangerous behavior. Who do you think is the worst offender?
