In the August 19 episode of General Hospital, Jack showed that he has real feelings for Nina with some sound advice. However, since the words of wisdom were about Willow, she ignored them, and it will cost her.
Key Takeaways
- Jack told Nina to stay out of Willow’s business.
- Nina did just the opposite.
- The advice was good, but Nina won’t realize that until it’s too late.
Stop Enabling Your Daughter Nina
There’s no question that sparks have been flying between Jack (Chris McKenna) and Nina (Cynthia Watros). Jack just showed, though, that sparks aren’t the only thing he has for the blonde.
In true Nina fashion, she summoned Jack to do some dirty work for her, all because Nina felt the need to meddle in Willow’s (Katelyn MacMullen) life. Nina wanted to play hero by having Jack dig up dirt on Michael (Rory Gibson), so Willow wouldn’t have to live on the Quartermaine estate.
Jack shut her down with sound advice to butt out of Willow’s life before her actions destroy her. The WSB agent called her out for enabling Willow and not doing her any favors, which did not go over well.
Nina’s Blind Spot Continues
It should surprise no one that Nina balked at Jack’s advice. Then Nina received a message from Willow and ran to her daughter’s side.
When Nina arrived at the gatehouse, Willow filled her in on Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) quitting. Willow regretted escalating things with Michael, but Nina just propped Willow up and defended her actions.
Nina reminded Willow she’s a congresswoman with power, as Willow whined about having to play nice with Michael for now. It was the same old song and dance with the mother-daughter duo.
Jack Was Right But Nina Won’t Realize It Until It’s Too Late
The problem with Nina is that she’s blindly loyal to Willow, even when she knows that Willow’s behavior has been problematic at best. Willow blackmailed her, and yet Nina goes to great lengths for her daughter.
Jack knows this because Nina was vulnerable with him the night they got drunk at The Brown Bar. The WSB agent also knows that Nina won’t heed his advice until it’s too late, and he’s right.
Nina has just as much of a target on her back as Willow. At some point, Nina will pay for the part she played in, oh let’s say, pushing Drew (Cameron Mathison) in the lake for one.
Aside from that, Willow would turn on Nina on a dime and not just in a blackmail way. Willow would throw Nina under the bus for her own good without breaking a sweat.
Whenever the tides change for Nina, she will regret not listening to Jack. Until then, any advice, even from him, will just continue to fall on deaf ears.
