It’s one thing for Josslyn (Eden McCoy) to be fighting with her mom, Carly (Laura Wright), over her job and life decisions. However, it’s another for Josslyn to be running around Port Charles with the responsibilities of an adult, while behaving like more of a child than Donna (Scarlett Spears) does.
Josslyn has become laser-focused on proving she belongs in the WSB, which has her in fight mode all the time. Even the way she interacts with Jack (Chris McKenna) is all defensive and entitled.
Now, this has nothing to do with Josslyn growing up with money and means. This is her attitude and behavior, which come across as bratty and spoiled rather than poised and adult.
Josslyn has every right to defend her job or life choices, and she should. She simply needs to find a better way than yelling, screaming, and acting like a spoiled brat every time she opens her mouth.
The Behavior Isn’t Worthy of Her Latest Opportunity
GH having Josslyn become a WSB agent was a hard pill to swallow from the jump. Thanks to her recent actions, it hasn’t gotten any easier to believe this character really has a future at the bureau that gave fans Ann (Finola Hughes), Robert (Tristan Rogers), Frisco (Jack Wagner), and even Valentin (James Patrick Stuart).
Now the show has given Josslyn the keys to the kingdom with Jax (Ingo Rademacher) making her CEO of Jasper Jacks Enterprises out of nowhere. Adding more fuel to that fire is Jack informing Josslyn that her next assignment was to take the CEO job at JJE.
Clearly, the WSB is going after Jax or his company for some reason and using Josslyn to do it. That’s not the issue. The problem is that when Josslyn learned Jax wanted her to be CEO, and Jack demanded she take the job, she threw a tantrum like a toddler in more ways than one.
From the second Hudson (Troy Lennon Appel) arrived with the CEO’s news, Josslyn came for him. Josslyn didn’t have an adult business talk but rather argued and fought with Hudson over a situation he didn’t create.
The way she speaks to Jack and Hudson proves that Josslyn isn’t ready to be an agent or to run her father’s company. Josslyn may think she’s grown up, but her actions speak otherwise and reveal she can’t really handle either opportunity.
Here’s hoping that as the Jax issue becomes more relevant in Josslyn’s new assignment, her attitude changes. Josslyn is a great character with a lot of potential, but this bratty version of her isn’t working.
