Trina And Joss: BFF
There are many strong female friendships in Port Charles, but Trina (Tabyana Ali) and Josslyn (Eden McCoy) had a bond that could not be broken.
The two met back in high school. They shared their love stories and experienced unimaginable loss. Trina, along with Cameron (William Lipton), was there for Joss when her high school sweetheart, Oscar (Garren Stitt), lost his battle with cancer.
They went on to become roommates at PCU. Trina studied art, while Joss wanted to become a doctor. The duo survived Esme’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) and Trina’s trial. Loss was a theme of their friendship when Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) died, and then again when Dex (Evan Hofer) died.
They were there for each other during parental troubles and the everyday issues of college students, but their friendship has looked different lately.
Enter Emma
Emma (Baraedyn Bruner) came to town with a childhood grudge against Josslyn. The two have made peace since then, but Joss has bigger problems now.
After Dex’s death, she was recruited to join the WSB. This was a secret that she was not able to share with anyone, not her mom, and not Trina. For the last year, Agent Jacks has been through training, investigated Professor Dalton (Daniel Goddard), traveled to the Five Poppies, cut the power at Wyndemere, and so much more. She lives a dangerous life. Her bestie has no idea what she is up to.
Trina is dating Kai (Jens Austin Astrup). The couple may have secrets of their own, but are able to live a somewhat regular life (as regular as life can be in Port Charles). The same can be said for Emma and Gio (Giovanni Mazza). The two couples are spending more time together, and Emma and Trina are getting closer.
Eventually, Josslyn’s secret life will come out. She and Trina will probably always be close, but Joss’s new career may not leave much room for her bestie. They are now in two very different worlds. Trina could gravitate toward Emma in the coming years as they have more in common.
