On General Hospital, Molly and TJ Ashford got the devastating news that her endometriosis diagnosis means she won’t be able to conceive and carry their child. Something she only decided she really wanted when the possibility was denied her.
General Hospital: TJ Ashford And Molly Surrogate
But, being rich, highly educated, and well-insured, Molly (Holiday Mia Kriegel) and TJ (Tajh Bellow) leaped to solve their problem with money and hire a surrogate to carry a baby. Molly already has a list of rules that she’ll insist this poor woman follow: She must be vegan, a non-smoker, and not watch violent movies, lest the baby internalizes any of those values. Her nitpickiness will make it tough to recruit a candidate. This is why we have a trio of suggestions for her to consider.
GH: Super Mom
Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) has proven she is an indestructible gestator. The woman had a healthy pregnancy while being held prisoner and after diving off a cliff. She then gave birth to a two-year-old on the grounds of Wyndermere, with no pain medication, and only Laura (Genie Francis) there to pat her on the shoulder and reassure her, “There, there. There, there.” But, most importantly, Esme needs money to keep the baby she does have, Ace. So why not pop one out for Molly and TJ? It will be no effort on her part and earn her enough to give up her job and stay home with Ace, like she wants.
General Hospital: TJ Ashford, It’s a Boy
If Molly and TJ want to make sure their firstborn is a son, then they should hire Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) as a surrogate. Not only is she also good at giving birth under trying conditions, but no matter who the daddy is, Elizabeth ends up giving birth to a bouncing baby boy. She’s the only sure bet in Port Charles on that score!
GH: Go With the Obvious
In the end, though, we all know Molly and TJ will ask Kristina (Kate Mansi). She’ll do it to prove that she’s not as screwed up as her mother and sisters think. Though, of course, she’ll frame it as doing a good deed for Molly. This will set up some nice conflict for the siblings. And, as things often go on soaps…promise a romantic entanglement between her and the child’s biological father.
