Braedyn Bruner recently celebrated her first anniversary playing Emma on General Hospital. Fans are very vocal about their opinions of the character, both good and bad.

Key Takeaways

  • Emma has changed and grown into a strong young woman.
  • Viewers love her commitment to animal rights and her relationship with Gio.
  • Some fans took a while to warm up to “new” Emma.
  • Social media is taking issue with the fact that Emma involved the teens and got them into trouble.

Loving Emma

Bruner is doing a great job at playing “new” Emma, who is no longer the little girl we once knew. She has grown up and has become a strong young woman. Many fans love this version of Anna’s (Finola Hughes) granddaughter.

Her commitment to her beliefs is admirable. Animal rights is her cause, and she is willing to do whatever it takes to put a stop to animal experimentation.

Viewers love her relationship with Gio (Giovanni Mazza). It has been a sweet love story, where they began as friends and slowly developed feelings for each other. Their insecurities after their first kiss were adorable, and the way that they protect each other is something other couples could learn from.

Emma’s strength and encouragement towards Gio when he discovered the truth about his family were both caring and mature. If he goes back to the Qs, they will have Emma to thank.

Not So Fond Of Emma

Some fans took a while to warm up to the “new” Emma. They missed Brooklyn Rae Silzer in the role and the sweetness of the younger version. Eventually, most came around to the fact that the Scorpio grandchild had grown up and changed.

Emma’s latest storyline has given some viewers a new reason to dislike her. They are angry that she involved the underage teens in her plan to take down Dalton (Daniel Goddard), and now Rocco (Finn Carr) is paying the price.

One Facebook user summed it up. “Emma is nothing but trouble,” they wrote. “Her poor choices lead the others into trouble on a regular basis. Caring for the well-being of animals and wanting to help them is great, but her actions are criminal, and her friends are the ones that pay the price.”

Many on social media agreed. Some are even calling to bring back Robin (Kimberly McCullough) to deal with her daughter now that Anna is missing.
