Sonny may be innocent on General Hospital, but the evidence says otherwise. Even those he loves won’t give him the benefit of the doubt because of his past.
Key Takeaways
- Drew and Ava set up what appears to be the perfect plan to frame Sonny.
- Sonny looks guilty because he has done this before.
- Even his family thinks he is guilty.
- Sonny’s past has come back to haunt him.
Drew And Ava’s Perfect Frame-Up
Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Ava (Maura West) wanted to get even with Sonny, and for now, their plan seems to be working. They made it appear as if Sonny (Maurice Benard) ordered Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) beating. To make matters worse, Curtis (Donnell Turner) got in the way and was also severely hurt.
The evidence looks bad, especially because Curtis heard the culprits blame Sonny. The former mob boss swears he had nothing to do with it, but is having a hard time convincing anyone of the truth. His history is coming back to haunt him.
Sonny Is Not Believable
Sonny has ordered hits for decades, which does not give him the best credibility. This is why Drew and Ava’s plan is believable. Not only is the evidence stacked against him, but so is his own past.
For Sonny, the worst part of the situation was Dante’s (Dominic Zamprogna) reaction. His son didn’t even attempt to believe him. To Dante, Sonny is already tried and convicted. This is what he told Gio (Giovanni Mazza). Dante warned his son not to believe his grandfather; he once made that mistake with Sonny and lived to regret it. Gio struggled with his decision. He wants Sonny to be innocent of this crime, but in the end, he thinks his grandfather is guilty.
Josslyn (Eden McCoy) is also quick to assume Sonny is the bad guy. She has had a grudge against her former stepfather ever since he hung Dex (Evan Hofer) from a meat hook. Now she is a WSB agent and finally has a reason to go after him.
Will everyone be sorry when the truth finally comes out?
