- Drew can get better over time.
- Drew might fake his illness to make Willow confess her crimes.
- After all the craziness, Drew might be the one to take Willow down.
Drew As Willow’s Prisoner
Drew (Cameron Mathison) is being released from the hospital into his wife’s loving care. He knows that she tried to kill him, but there is not much he can do about it. His stroke caused Lock-In Syndrome, and he cannot do much of anything except blink his eyes. His body isn’t working right now, but his mind is.
Willow (Katelyn MacMullen, who warned Willow is done playing fair) has her husband right where she wants him. She appears to be the loving wife, but Drew knows the truth. In true soap form, while she has him alone and unable to speak, she will tell him exactly how and why she did what she did. Willow will probably throw in some torture, a la Kathy Bates in Misery. He won’t be able to do anything about it, or will he?
Fake It Til You Make It
Drew has Lock-In Syndrome, confirmed by his doctors. That doesn’t mean he will have it forever. He can easily improve over time. The smart thing for him to do is fake it so that his wife confesses everything she has done to him. Recording her would be the evidence needed to finally take her down. She can no longer be convicted of shooting him, but her other crimes will get her sent to Pentonville or one of the many mental institutions in Port Charles.
He would not be the first Port Charles resident to fake Lock-In Syndrome. Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) did a dastardly job at it a few years back. It would be just like the congressman to take a page from Ryan’s book.
Everyone hates Drew, with good reason. He is the worst, but he may find some redemption if he makes Willow pay for her crimes.
