Drew The Victim
Drew (Cameron Mathison) has spent the last few years bullying everyone in Port Charles, except Willow (Katelyn MacMullen). He fell in love with her, married her, and defended her in his own shooting. The congressman couldn’t have been more wrong.
Willow shot him twice in the back. When that didn’t kill him, she worked with Sidwell (Carlo Rota) to drug him so that he is now unable to move or speak. It looks like he will be stuck like this for quite some time.
Some hoped that Drew would see the error of his ways after being shot, but that didn’t happen. If anything, it only made him angrier and meaner. The congressman tried to blame Michael (Rory Gibson) for the shooting, left Ned (Wally Kurth) to die while having a heart attack, blackmailed Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn), and stole from the Qs, among other things.
But this time may be different.
A New Drew?
Drew wasn’t always a horrible person. In fact, he used to be a really great guy. The Drew of the last few years was nothing like the man who originally came to Port Charles. The big change became apparent after he went to prison to save Carly (Laura Wright).
So, there is a good guy in there somewhere. Willow and Sidwell have done their worst to him, which could make him realize that he has been aligning himself with the wrong people. Enough time stuck in bed, unable to move, will give him plenty of opportunity to think. It would be interesting for him to come out of this a changed person.
Changed or not, the residents of Port Charles may never forgive him for all the terrible things he has done to them. He was a villain who went after anyone and everyone, and they all have a right to be angry. Then again, other villains have been successfully redeemed, some who have committed even worse crimes than Drew. Anything is possible on GH.
