General Hospital‘s Drew is finally up and around, but his time with locked-in syndrome hasn’t changed him. He is still as nasty as ever, but those around him have moved on.

The Same Old Drew
Drew (Cameron Mathison) was stuck in a wheelchair and unable to move for months on end. One would hope he would have had time to see the error of his ways and come out of it a changed man, but no such luck. He is still the same vindictive guy he was before Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) drugged him.
Drew’s first rant was against his wife (who could blame him?). When he realized that if he sent her to prison, he would join her there, he grabbed Martin (Michael E. Knight) and began his revenge tour. His first stop was Alexis’s (Nancy Lee Grahn), where he once again tried to take Scout (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) away from her family.
Alexis’s reaction wasn’t to cower in the corner and let him have his way. She stood her ground, and she was just the first of many.
Drew May Be In For A Rude Awakening
Scout was thrilled to see her dad up and around, but she is suddenly older and more savvy. This new Scout will voice her opinions. She loves her grandmother, her Aunt Molly (Kristen Vaganos), and her brother Danny (Asher Antonyzyn). She will not be taken away from them again, and Alexis will fight tooth and nail to make sure that doesn’t happen.
Over at the Quartermaines, the family discussed whether or not to allow Drew into the house. Gio (Giovanni Mazza) had sympathy for him, but most of the family had no interest in giving him a second chance. The decision was made to allow him on the premises only when he is with Scout. The Qs are still very much against him, however.
Then there is Michael (Rory Gibson). His focus is no longer on Drew. It has shifted to keeping primary custody of his children. He no longer cares about his uncle’s shenanigans.
Drew is about to realize that Port Carles has moved on while he was locked in. He may or may not want to win people back, but may need to come to terms with the fact that no one cares about him, is afraid of him, or has any interest in him. It is a new world, but how will he react to it?
