Is Dr. Isaiah Gannon General Hospital’s New Hero?

Dr. Gannon is saving lives left and right at General Hospital. Is there anything this man can’t do?

Super Hero

Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) was doing a great job at GH before he even began working there. He was in Lulu’s (Aleva Havins) room just when her ventilator began to malfunction. Thankfully, he noticed immediately and saved the day.

Not long after, GH needed a top-notch surgeon to perform Lulu’s tricky liver transplant. They didn’t believe any of the doctors on staff could do it, so poor Lulu was almost out of luck. Her brother Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) knew his friend could save the day. Isaiah reluctantly agreed and Lucky was right. Not only did Dr. Gannon save Lulu, but she was also out of her coma, and up and running around the very day she woke up! He was truly a miracle worker.

Portia (Brook Kerr) was so impressed with his skills that she immediately hired him. Now, a devastated Lucas (Van Hansis) turned over the reins to Isaiah in Michael’s (Chad Duell) burn case because he was too emotionally involved. It is touch and go for Michael but Dr. Gannon just might be able to save him so he will be off to a burn unit far, far away until Chad Duell is ready to return.

Stand Up Guy

Sparks are flying between Jordan (Tanisha Harper) and Isaiah. They make a stunning couple and it’s about time for Jordan to have a nice man in her life. The two are spending time together and she gave him the info on the evil Cyrus (Jeff Kober). So when the “man of God” showed up at GH, Dr. Gannon’s antennae went up, especially when he asked Isaiah what it felt like to be God.

Isaiah had no problem standing up to Cyrus, and Portia and Brad (Perry Shen) backed him up. But Isaiah is smart and realizes that the hospital confrontation and Portia throwing Cyrus out may mean trouble. It won’t be too much of a surprise if the good doctor is there to help save the day if and when Cyrus returns for revenge.

Past History

It is rare for any new character to come to Port Charles without having some connection to a current resident. The latest GH surgeon may not have a connection to Port Charles but may have one to Llanview. The One Life to Live town had some well-known Gannons living there and it would make sense that Isaiah is related.

So far, he seems like he was sent down from Heaven, but maybe there is a side to Dr. Gannon we haven’t seen yet.

What do you think of Isaiah? Let us know in the comments.
