It’s like father, like daughter on General Hospital. Kristina has been reeling for some time, and it looks like she is about to do something very reckless.
Out Of Control
Life is difficult for Kristina (Kate Mansi). She struggled when she was young, fell into an abusive relationship, joined a cult, and lost her baby after falling out of a window. Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Alexis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) daughter doesn’t make the best decisions.
Lately, she has been more erratic than ever. She decided that Ava (Maura West) pushed her and was solely responsible for her baby’s death. She will not let it go. In reality, she tripped out the window and was carrying the baby for her sister. Kristina is ranting and raving to anyone who will listen that she wants Ava to pay. She got angrier when Sonny agreed to give Avery’s (Ava and Grace Scarola) mom joint custody. To top it off, she is worried about her dad’s heart condition. Then she walked in when he was on the floor, and Ava wouldn’t give him his meds.
Now she is on the warpath and has decided she is the one who will stop Ava. Trouble is coming.
All In The Family
Sonny was diagnosed as bipolar years ago and is on medication. His son, Morgan (ex-Bryan Craig), had the same illness. It is more than possible that Kristina might also suffer from bipolar or a similar mental illness. Her recent behavior makes it obvious.
Kristina has two loving parents and other family members who care about her. Nobody thinks she should make an appointment with Dr. Collins (Jon Lindstrom)? If he is not around because he is off in Fairmont Crest, there must be other mental health professionals at GH who can help her.
Sonny is worried about his health, and Alexis is still grieving Sam’s (ex-Kelly Monaco) death, so they aren’t focusing on their daughter. Not that she would listen because Kristina is stubborn and cannot see past her anger. Now she is concocting a plan to hurt (or kill) Ava, but someone else may be the one who suffers. Too bad she let Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) go because her ex may have been able to get through to her. Do you think Kristina has her dad’s mental illness? Is it too late to help her?
