Just when it looked like General Hospital‘s Gio was going back to the family fold, Dante caused a major setback. Was his attack on his oldest son justified?

Key Takeaways

  • Rocco is in a juvenile detention facility after breaking into Dalton’s lab.
  • Dante is upset and concerned about Rocco.
  • Dante has a habit of blaming Gio when something goes wrong with Rocco.
  • Gio admitted his mistake, and Dante is too hard on him.
  • Gio and Dante’s father/son relationship is more damaged than before.

Dante Is A Worried Father

Poor Rocco (Finn Carr). He is really a good kid who keeps getting himself into trouble. First, there was the alcohol poisoning, and now he is in a juvenile detention facility.

It was a big mistake for Rocco, Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), and Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) to break into Dalton’s (Daniel Goddard) lab on their own, but the three believed they were doing the right thing. Then Rocco sacrificed himself to save his brother and sister, but now he is paying the price.

Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) is upset, as any parent would be after their child was hauled off to jail. When Gio (Giovanni Mazza) admitted that he was the one who brought the teens into his and Emma’s (Braedyn Bruner) scheme, Dante was angry. In his eyes, if Gio hadn’t come up with the original plan, Rocco would not be in trouble. He is scared for his son, and who could blame him?

Dante Is Always Blaming Gio

Gio and Emma should never have recruited the teens to help with their plan. They both know this, and they decided that they needed to come clean and try to help Rocco.

Gio admitted his part in the scheme to Dante and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton), and his dad’s reaction was over the top. This is not the first time he has blamed Gio for Rocco’s actions. The violinist had nothing to do with the alcohol poisoning, but Dante used him as a scapegoat and condemned him.

Since then, he discovered that he is Gio’s father and has been trying to make amends. His temper tantrum in the hospital just set him way back. Gio explained that he and Emma called off the plan, but the teens went against their wishes and broke in anyway. Dante didn’t want to hear it; he only wanted to place blame, and he went too far. Gio will not be calling him “dad” anytime soon.
