Could Esme’s Regained Memories Bring Nikolas Cassadine Back to GH?

General Hospital fans have been wondering for months whether Esme Prince was merely faking her amnesia as a way to manipulate Spencer — and pretty much everyone else in Port Charles. Now we know that no, she wasn’t faking it. Decorating a Christmas tree with last year’s ornaments brought Esme’s memories back. Including everything she did when she wasn’t…being her best self. Now that Esme is Esme again, or, at the very least, knows what she was once capable of, does it mean that Nikolas Cassadine will be back on the scene to atone for his own sins where Esme is concerned?

Nikolas Cassadine Went Too Far

Yes, Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) was a very, very bad girl. She lied to Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez), recorded Cam (William Lipton) and Joss (Eden McCoy) having sex, leaked the video online, and framed Trina (Tabyana Ali) for it. She seduced Nikolas and got pregnant with Ace.

But, guess what? None of that warranted Nik locking a pregnant teenager in his gloomy castle and keeping her prisoner with a plan to take her baby and ship Esme off to Cassadine Island, parts unknown. Esme remembers that part now, too, we bet.

Amended Complaint

Esme can apologize to Trina and Joss. Esme can even agree to stand trial for what she did to Trina and Joss. But, at the same time, Esme also wants Nik punished for his crimes against her. For that, Nik needs to be back in Port Charles. Where he has lots of unfinished business. With his mother. With his ex-wife. With his son. And, yes, with his baby mama.

Esme and Nik need to have a nice, long chat. She should also punch him several times. And then, we can get to untangling who needs to pay whom back for what and why. At this rate, baby Ace might end up visiting both of his parents in prison…until he’s in high school.
