When it comes to General Hospital, every fan has their own opinion – and Soap Hub is no different. For five days, we sat and watched the good, the bad, and everything in between, and now we offer you a handy review, and a cheeky critique, of the GH week that was.
Another week gone, and it didn’t end with so much a “Cliffhanger Friday” as it did a, “been there, done that” — which, at least, they addressed.
As expected, the crucifixion of Nina (Cynthia Watros) is in full, hideous swing. (See more on that here.) I must say I appreciate the swerve that is Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) taking Michael (Chad Duell) to task for his actions — if only the writers would blow up the secret that was Michael conspiring with Dex (Evan Hofer) to turn Sonny (Maurice Benard) over to authorities — a secret that Carly (Laura Wright) and Josslyn (Eden McCoy) have all become privy to. To me, that’s the money storyline.
* Laura Wright has been hitting it out of the park with her pitch-perfect depiction of Carly’s grief over Bobbie’s passing.
* Welcome back Adam Huss, and how great that the writers have him itching to conspire with Ava (Maura West), his equal in sleaze, against Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl). These two are always better together than they are apart.
That said, I’m not going to throw much of a fit if Chris and Dan/Dan and Chris were to go there (and it wouldn’t be for the first time) where new apartmentmates Ava and Sonny are concerned. Those two are so bad for each other it’s good.
Speaking of Esme, kudos to Laura (Genie Francis), even in the throes of her grief over Bobbie, for rumbling that it was her former ward who forced her way into Wyndemere. That’s the sly, smart Laura of old.
