A Critic’s Review Of General Hospital: Fanatical Devotees & Best Costume

When it comes to General Hospital, every fan has their own opinion – and Soap Hub is no different. For five days, we sat and watched the good, the bad, and everything in between, and now we offer you a handy review, and a cheeky critique, of the GH week that was.

General Hospital: The Critic’s POV

Apparently intent on singlehandedly resurrecting the Friday cliffhanger, General Hospital left us with the implication that Anna (Finola Hughes) just dropped poor, troubled Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez). Never a fanatical (or even casual) “Vanna” fan, I can only imagine the collective howl unleashed by the couple’s legion of devotees.

Further GH Musings

* I’m all for Miss Coe (Lynn Herring) to reclaim what’s rightfully hers, but that’s going to necessitate her regaining some of that delightfully bitchy edge she used to possess and shedding some — make that a lot — of that scatter-brained kookyness she’s developed.

* Hands down the award for Best Costumed Munchkin goes to Leo “Einstein” Quartermaine (Easton Rocket Sweda). Fight me on it! Also, how apropos that Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) was the wolf to Trina’s (Tabyana Ali) Little Red Riding Hood instead of the woodsman who actually saved the imperiled lass.

* Is it just me, or did Sonny (Maurice Benard) seem rather blasé to learn that Nikolas (Adam Huss) was alive and well, especially given all the trouble he’s had to deal with as of late owing to Ava’s (Maura West) supposedly killing him?

Speaking of, what are the odds that the person behind the LLC interested in purchasing Spoon Island isn’t Nikolas?

* Now that I’ve gotten the chance to actually see NuNuNu Molly (that would be Kristen Vaganos) for more than a few, fleeting seconds, I have to say that she seems to a natural fit in the pantheon of Davis girls. (Can she stay?! Please, please, please can she stay?!)

* Though I certainly perk up whenever Jeff Kober is on my screen, Cyrus’s scenes have become monotonous: Cyrus: I’m a changed man
Anyone/Everyone He Comes Into Contact With: No you’re not.
Cyrus: Yes, I am. I swear. Jesus is Lord and Savior.
Anyone/Everyone He Comes Into Contact With: LIES!
