If it’s Jason Morgan or anyone that once was him or looked like him on General Hospital (GH), it’s been all about the memories since 1996. That’s when Jason Quartermaine woke up with no memory of anything that came before and decided to call himself Jason Morgan.
He lived like that for nearly 17 years, and then we thought he died. And, then we thought he came back, but of course he couldn’t remember anything.
This was Jason. And now we learn all of Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) memories are in his head AND his new-found twin brother, the man they call Drew Cain (Billy Miller).
But, wait, there’s more. Apparently, the map of ALL of Jason Morgan’s memories and ALL of Drew Cain’s memories up until 2012 live inside a Christmas ornament at Anna’s house. Now, if that’s not genius, we don’t know what is.
Sure, it’s also way out there in sci-fi land, but GH has been doing stuff like that for years, so we’ll let it go because of all the potential here. It brings Anna (Finola Hughes) front and center into this storyline that involves mortal enemy, Faison (Anders Hove).
And it also gives us the possibility of a Robin (Kimberly McCullough) return since she was doing a similar experiment for Helena when Helena died. (We bet you didn’t remember that, no pun intended.)
Helena (Constance Towers) is clearly a part of this story, as is Valentin (James Patrick Stuart), and maybe we will learn more of what happened to Robin when Helena had her all that time.
Plus, who knows what memories can lay inside that shiny silver ball? Like we said, there’s been Jason memories missing for decades and the mind is a mysterious place. Who knows what’s been lurking in either twin–and what may come out of a simple Christmas ornament.
General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
