Chris Van Etten Returns to General Hospital For The Holidays

It looks like Maxie will get a helping hand dealing with her first Christmas without Nathan as General Hospital brings back Chris Van Etten.

According to Soaps.com, Amy Driscoll’s (Risa Dorken) brother will be returning to Port Charles with a very special mission.

Of course, this mission is very much like the one he had earlier this year when he appeared at the cemetery to help give Maxie (Kirsten Storms) strength after Nathan’s (Ryan Paevey) death.

Now Chet is back to help Maxie once again deal with her first Christmas without her beloved husband. It’s also the first Christmas for their son, James.

No word yet on how long Chet will stick around or if he’ll be seen with his sister Amy, but any time Chet returns is welcomed by fans, who have noticed the chemistry between Chet and Maxie.

Instead, Maxie seems to be poised to have a romance with Peter (Wes Ramsey), who really hasn’t caught on much with viewers. Time will tell if his pairing with Maxie will help that along.

In the meantime, fans can savor Chet’s return, no matter how brief, and enjoy him being a good friend to Maxie.
