CASTING CALL: A New Mystery Character For General Hospital?

If you’re tired of the General Hospital (GH) drop-ins from former ABC soap stars that don’t last nearly as long as you want, get ready for a new character arriving for a much longer stay.

According to Daytime Confidential, GH has a casting call out for the contract role of an African-American female in her 20s, described as “beautiful, dynamic, and complex.”

While those are the only hints we have and it can be anybody’s guess who this character might be, Soap Hub sure doesn’t mind speculating.

Might Jordan (Vinessa Antoine) have a daughter out there somewhere we never heard of? We already know she abandoned TJ as a child. What would stop her from abandoning another child? Or perhaps, if she does have a daughter, she wasn’t abandoned. Hey, maybe Curtis is even the father.

Or, maybe Curtis (Donnell Turner) has a daughter that has absolutely nothing to do with Jordan. That could certainly shake things up for the character.

Better yet, perhaps she’s a Ward, related to Keesha, Justus, and the late Mary-Mae Ward. Fans loved that family back in the day and it would definitely be something else if she could be Keesha’s daughter–and Jason’s.

Remember, the pair did do the deed when he was still Jason Quartermaine (Steve Burton), right before he morphed into Jason Morgan. And, with at the very least Jason Quartermaine’s old face returning soon, this could get interesting.

Yes, anything can happen on a soap, and that anything or anyone can even be a character who has no real ties to Port Charles at all. We guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
