Bygones: Should Maxie Forgive Anna on General Hospital?

It was Maxie and Peter’s wedding day on General Hospital! It was also the day when Liesl (Kathleen Gati) spilled the beans about Anna (Finola Hughes) not being Peter’s (Wes Ramsey) mother. (It was actually her identical twin, Alex. Fake, implanted memories were involved. As they are often wont to be in Port Charles.) Peter flipped out, and, to calm him down, Maxie (Kirsten Storms) was ready to marry him.

Maxie has been forgiving Peter for things since the two first hooked up. But will she ever forgive Anna for keeping the secret of how truly horrible and dangerous he is from her? What almost 4,000 voters told us:

Time Heals All Wounds

Exactly half of you, 50%, know that it might take a while, but Maxie will eventually forgive Anna. That’s just who Maxie is. Not because she’s a forgive-and-forget kind of person, but because her attention span is short.

She obsesses over things, and then she moves on. Something new and shiny will catch her attention soon, and she’ll forgive Anna on her way to some other grudge.

Doing It the Best I Can

A smaller 43% of the audience figure Maxie will eventually come to see that Anna did her best to protect Peter. She knew that he thought the good part of himself – and the baby girl he and Maxie are expecting – came from Anna’s DNA. She didn’t want to break his heart by telling him he was actually related to psycho liar Alex.

Only 7% believe Anna let Maxie down with her lies, and thus deserves to have her feet held to the fire. Doesn’t Anna understand that Peter’s happiness is the most important thing, and anyone who does anything to make him sad deserves to be ostracized forever?
