On General Hospital, Peter has done some really terrible things, the least of which was lying about his identity, and the worst of which was leading to Nathan’s death.
And yet, aside from the personal revenge Liesl (Kathleen Gati) and Nina (Michelle Stafford) dished out, Peter (Wes Ramsey) appears to be walking away scot-free.
Everyone forgives him. Isn’t that… strange? Here’s what over 9,000 think.
Magic Touch
How does he do it, 55% wonder? OK, Anna (Finola Hughes) is flagellating herself with guilt over giving her precious baby up for adoption just for him to end up with an emotionally abusive Faison (Andres Hove). Her forgiving Peter, you can understand. But the rest?
Lulu (Emme Rylan) was played by Peter and convinced she was a great reporter. Now, the rest of us have to suffer for it. Maxie (Kirsten Storms) lost her husband, and her son lost his dad. But Maxie seems on the road to forgiveness, too – not to mention romance.
Peter should be in prison or, at least, banished to whichever castle Faison left him. Being tied to a bed by Liesl and Nina was only the beginning. You all were expecting much, much more punishment for his crimes!
Port Charles Portal
Eh, 44% of you shrug, it’s Port Charles. Franco (Roger Howarth) the serial killer got a pass. Luke (Anthony Geary) the rapist got elected mayor.
And when Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) ran for the same position, bringing up the fact that she didn’t just defend mobsters, she had a (very whiny) child with one, was considered mudslinging, instead of fact-stating.
As for the mobster himself, well, you know how the town feels about Sonny (Maurice Benard).
So why should anyone be surprised when Peter gets the same treatment? Heck, at this rate, he’ll be elected Senator before we know it!
General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
