Breaking News: Lexi Ainsworth Confirms Return To GH

It looks like Sonny’s oldest daughter is returning to Port Charles as Lexi Ainsworth confirms her return to General Hospital.

“I’m so excited I can finally tell people that I am back!!” shared the actress to social media. All signs certainly seemed to point to the actress is back on set.

Soap Twitter was buzzing about the young actress returning, thinking GH might finally pursue a story between Kristina and good pal Valerie now that Brytni Sarpy is also returning to the show.

So what does this mean for Kristina’s love, Parker (Ashley Jones), whom she took off from Port Charles to pursue? Well, that’s anyone’s guess but more than likely if she is coming back, it won’t be for a while.

After all, Kristina should be given the chance to find a new love so that when Parker returns, she can mess everything up for her like she usually does. Besides, there is plenty waiting for Kristina in Port Charles — a lot has happened since she’s been gone.

She needs to be reunited with her brother, Michael (Chad Duell), who is about to become a father, making her an aunt. Her father Sonny (Maurice Benard) could certainly use her support while his wife Carly (Laura Wright) remains locked up in Ferncliff.

She should be very proud of her mother, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn), who has managed to steer clear of Julian (William deVry), whom Kristina couldn’t stand.

Then again, we don’t know when she returns, so could those two end up growing closer only for Kristina to happen upon them?

Seems farfetched since Julian is growing closer to Kim (Tamara Braun). There’s also her sister Sam (Kelly Monaco) dealing with the return of the real Jason (Steve Burton). Their reunion could be an interesting one as Kristina welcomes back her former brother-in-law.

There are lots for Kristina to deal with back home — and Port Charles will welcome her back with open arms — as will fans.
