BREAKING NEWS: Jane Elliot OFF General Hospital

After playing Tracy Quartermaine on and off for the last four decades, Jane Elliot has decided to leave the soap that made her a daytime household name.

According to Daytime Confidential, Elliot has now told the GH brass that she doesn’t intend to renew her contract this spring.

Rumors had been circulating for months that Elliot’s days as Tracy were numbered, but now the proverbial cat seems to be out of the bag. In an interview with TV Insider last year, the actress said she looked forward to retirement, so it wasn’t a huge secret that this was coming.

Tracy is still an integral part of the Port Charles canvas and had a front burner health scare story last year. She still adds that much-needed Quartermaine zinger each week and there will definitely be a GH hole without her.

We hope Tracy gets to just ride off into a happy sunset so maybe we can see Elliot again one day.
