There hasn’t been a lot of good news lately for Maxie on General Hospital (GH). It all started when best friend Lulu decided she was a reporter now, and wrote an article meant to smoke out Faison.
Faison was smoked out. And he killed Nathan (Ryan Paevey), leaving a pregnant Maxie (Kirsten Storms) to deal with his hysterical family, Nina (Michelle Stafford) and Obrecht (Kathleen Gatti), not to mention a well-meaning but perennially bumbling Spinelli (Bradford Anderson), all on her own.
But at least Maxie still has her unborn baby, right? Right? Is she at risk of losing even that solace? Here’s what over 9,000 viewers had to say:
Cruel Intentions
The fates – a.k.a. the writers of GH – wouldn’t dare be so cruel, hope 73% of you. How much is poor, little Maxie supposed to be expected to take? First, there were those lousy parents, Frisco (Jack Wagner) and Felicia (Kristina Wagner), who would take years off from the whole, boring parenting thing to do…something else.
Then there was the life-threatening illness, the heart transplant, and the survivor’s guilt of having to live for both herself and her late cousin, BJ.
Then there was the surrogacy debacle, giving up Georgie, getting her back, and then losing her again to Spinelli. After Nathan, no way would Maxie survive another tragedy.
Daytime Drama
Well, what fun is that, pout a sadistic 26% of the audience. The baby doesn’t have to die necessarily, but some kidnapping drama would not be unwelcome.
What if Nelle (Chloe Lanier) loses her own baby, and decides to make a quick substitution? That would get all the key Port Charles families involved in an umbrella storyline, where everyone has a stake in the outcome.
Can you see Obrecht going up against Sonny (Maurice Benard) for grandparenting rights? Clash of the Titans!
General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
