Bottoms Up: General Hospital Fans Grade Ned and Alexis’s Booze Fest

On General Hospital, both Ned and Alexis are going through a rough patch. Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) just found a dead Neil (Joe Flanigan) in her bed, followed by a diagnosis of osteoporosis (we don’t think those two events are connected). Ned’s (Wally Kurth) wife has run off with Robert (Tristan Rogers) for an adventure (who wouldn’t?).

Both depressed, both went out and got plastered. And over 2,000 fans had some strong feelings about that:

Call Me Irresponsible

Ned and Alexis are both adults (and then some). Ned and Alexis are both of sound mind (most of the time). Ned and Alexis both got drunk. However, 80% of the fans are heartbroken that Ned allowed Alexis, an admitted alcoholic, to indulge in the hard stuff.

Sure, Alexis is always going on and on and on and on about what a strong, independent woman she is. No man had better dare tell her what to do (unless he’s totes cute). She is more than capable of making her own decisions. Except when it comes to alcohol. Ned, who was equally as drunk, should have been responsible for stopping her. Alexis can’t be held accountable for her actions! She’s just a girl.

Great Potential

Let’s see where this might go, 16% of the audience is reserving judgment. Alexis needs a new man in her life. You know how insane she gets when she doesn’t have one. And she and Ned have circled each other for decades. Maybe this time it will work out.

Ned and Alexis — Loved It!

Only 4% of the viewers loved this night of drinking, but the ones who did, went with “Awesome!” It’s nice to see these two straight-laced types let loose and have a good time. They have every right to be pissed, and every right to act on it. You’re open to seeing more – drinking… and carousing. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC.
