Bold General Hospital 2018 Prediction: Endgame–Jason And Sam!

Back in early summer when we first learned that General Hospital (GH) was bringing back Steve Burton, we didn’t think we’d be predicting this or even want it, but Soap Hub has to admit that–it has to be Jasam.

There’s no denying the chemistry between Kelly Monaco and Billy Miller and when we were told he was Jason we bought it. Sure, he was different, but Steve Burton wasn’t coming back and we wanted Sam to be with Jason, even if he wasn’t exactly her Jason.

We figured he’d been through a lot, was a father now, and had grown. So, this new side of Jason Morgan was just fine.

Of course, all we had to do was see the actual Jason Morgan to know there was no way that’s who Billy Miller was playing. As every one of his friends and family members knew right away, so did we. There’s only one Jason Morgan and he’d been gone for five years.

It’s something Sam is going to have to come to terms with. Before she believed Drew was Jason, she knew him as her friend, Jake Doe–and was ready to marry Patrick Drake and become Emma’s stepmom.

She broke BOTH their hearts when Jake was revealed as Jason and she suddenly couldn’t get the man off her mind.

Because it’s always been all about Jason. If he’s there, if he’s available, if he’s alive, Sam wants him. She wanted Drew because she believed he was Jason and yes, she fell for who he actually was, a man not like Jason at all, but a man who had his memories of their life together.

Well, that guy’s not Jason, and the real one is there, he’s available, and he’s certainly alive, so in the end, it has to be Jason. And honestly, it should be. Everything we forgot about this pair is back at the forefront and all we can say is “Yes, THAT’S why we liked them. Because they work.”

So, for 2018, we predict it will work again. It may take a lot of fixing, but it also needs to be the endgame.
