Best Laid Plans: How Fans Feel About Sam’s Shiloh Plot On General Hospital

On General Hospital, few people disagree that Shiloh is a bad man. He and Willow obviously have a history complicated enough that she ran away and felt compelled to give her baby up for adoption.

Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) was stupid enough to buy what Shiloh (Coby  Ryan McLaughlin) was selling and even dumb enough to share a critical secret with him — her mom, Alexis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) critical secret.

It was time for big strong men Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Jason (Steve Burton) to swoop in and save the day. Except for their definition of that was Sam (Kelly Monaco) ingratiating herself with Shiloh, letting him drug her, brand her, and possibly rape her… while Jason listened with a blank look on his face.

OK, it was her idea, but nobody thought to talk some sense into her? How did fans feel about this brilliant plan? Here’s what almost 6,000 viewers told us:

Crazy Pants
Who does something so stupid, 54% of you want to know? Sam is supposed to be a former professional con-woman — she conned Shiloh’s dad out of a bucket-load of money, we’re told. She couldn’t think of another way to get this done?

More importantly, remember when Franco (Roger Howarth) made Sam think he’d raped her and fathered Danny (we know Franco and the rest of Port Charles don’t)? How could Sam put herself through something like that again? Especially when her stupid plan didn’t even work!

Greater Good
Sam is a team player, 46% of the audience reminds. She did what she did in order to help Kristina. Sam loves her little sister! And if she had to humiliate herself and go back to being a whiny victim, who are we to judge?

We certainly would have never done such a thing. But then, we don’t have a Jason in our lives. A love like theirs makes you do crazy things.
