Back To the Start: Does General Hospital Need More ‘Frava’?

Move over, Franco, there’s another serial killer on General Hospital! Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) is pretending to be his twin brother, Kevin, and offing women (and one man) around Port Charles. He’s also sleeping with Ava (Maura West).

What’s with that woman and serial killers? Remember her affair with the serial-killing Paul Hornsby (Richard Burgi)?

And, when fans first met her, Ava claimed her late daughter, Kiki (Hayley Erin), had been fathered by Franco (Roger Howarth).

Back then, Franco was the guy who killed people, set Michael (Chad Duell) up to be raped in prison, and made Sam (Kelly Monaco) think he’d raped her and fathered her baby.

Of course, these days, Franco is stepfather of the year – almost; they’re not technically married – to Liz’s (Rebecca Herbst) boys, Cameron, Jake, and Aiden.

But he and Liz are also kind of… dull. Do fans want to see more of Ava and her first serial killer love? The verdict according to over 15,000 viewers follows.

Keep Your Distance
No, thank you, 59% respond politely. It was bad enough the first time. Ava is a sophisticated, worldly, only slightly homicidal woman.

Franco, thanks to a quick tumor removal, is now a goofy jokester with a tendency to shove food into random people’s mouths when he isn’t eating it himself.

They don’t work together anymore, and you don’t want to see them try. Besides, there’s always the danger Kiki will turn out to have been his, and we’ll need to hear Franco going around, stomping about it.

Sharing Air Space
Yes, please, an equally polite 42% request. Ava and Franco are funny together. What’s more, they’re funny.

Everyone in Port Charles is so grim and serious. Sonny (Maurice Benard) is always mumbling, Jason (Steve Burton) is always glowering, Carly (Laura Wright) is always screeching, and Oscar (Garren Stitt) is always moping. It’s nice to get a break from that for a change. Go, Frava!

General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
