As Nelle makes plans for the future on General Hospital (GH), fans are learning about her past… with Chase. Seems the pair were involved way back when.
Chase (Josh Swickard) was the cop who investigated Nelle (Chloe Lanier) after Zack died. Nelle seduced him, then reported him for inappropriate behavior.
Though that’s not exactly the version of the story Nelle told Michael (Chad Duell). In her version, Chase became obsessed with Nelle and stalked her.
So it seems like yet another dysfunctional relationship that Nelle manipulated for her own benefit. But, can you imagine those two crazy – well, maybe just one of them – kids making it work for real now that they’re both in Port Charles?
Here’s how almost 7,000 viewers felt about the possibility:
Go For It!
What a great idea, 81% of you cheer! Not only will this get Nelle out of Michael’s orbit, which will get her out of Carly’s orbit, which will put an end to this gaslighting storyline, but, Chase might be able to succeed where Michael failed and turn Nelle around.
Michael spent months believing everything Nelle said and catering to her whims, but Chase is savvier than that.
While Michael is starting to get it now, he’s seen how she operates, and he’s a cop. If he can’t get her to reform, at least he might be able to get her to confess!
What a terrible idea, 19% of the audience counters. Why would you want to do this to Chase? He seems like a nice guy. A nice guy with pretty bad judgment, but a nice guy, nonetheless.
It’s not his fault he’s not Nathan (Ryan Paevey), and he shouldn’t be punished for that. Chase can help put Nelle away and free Carly (Laura Wright) – if that’s what the audience really wants – but police work should be the extend of his contact with Nelle.
