The daughter of Ava Jerome and Sonny Corinthos on General Hospital is one of the cutest child characters to ever hit soaps and she’s played by two cuties, Ava and Grace Scarola, who have something pretty big to celebrate!
That’s because they were born on April 26, 2014, which means they’re turning five years old today! They have been playing little Avery since the character was born — making them bigger vets of the show than many of their fellow actors who are a lot older than them.
These two should be on much more, especially with the show’s recent story of Avery’s dad, Sonny (Maurice Benard), trying to rescue her sister, Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) from the cult, Dawn of Day. After all, how could Kristina ever say no to anything that Avery asks of her?
Their mom, Ava (Maura West), is also going through a lot, having lost Avery’s older sister, Kiki (Hayley Erin), to the local serial killer in town. Avery would be a tremendous comfort to her mom if Ava doesn’t completely lose it and scary the young child.
We know the twins would be up to the challenge — their scenes are always must-see-TV. Their moments with poor Mike (Max Gail) have been incredibly poignant. They are also always fantastic with big brother Michael (Chad Duell).
Soap Hub wishes both Ava and Grace Scarola the happiest of birthdays and we hope we get to keep watching them grow up before our eyes for years to come.
General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
