Anna and Finn have gone from friends to foes to sharing a passionate kiss in a few short months on General Hospital (GH).
It all started when Anna (Finola Hughes) blackmailed Finn (Michael Easton) into helping her get the goods on Cassandra (Jessica Tuck). Finn had no choice but to go along with the plan, but along the way, he and Anna grew close, despite their penchant for bickering.
Now, the pair look en route to becoming an actual couple. And, surprisingly, GH’s new dynamic duo actually works.
Friends First
Anna saw Finn through hard times, after Hayden (Rebecca Budig) left him on their wedding day. One moment, he was preparing to move into a new home with a new wife and a baby on the way. The next, his whole world came crashing down.
Anna was there for Finn as a supportive friend, listening to him in his hour of need and encouraging him to pick himself up and move on. And, as we all know, the most successful relationships start as friendships.
Pretend Lovers
Before they even considered each other as a romantic option, Anna and Finn posed as a pretend couple as part of their caper with Cassandra. Remember, she thought they were lovers.
The twosome went on a couple of “dates,” held hands, and even shared a couple of pecks on the cheek, all in the name of undercover work. It gave them time to see one another in a new light. The pretense obviously awakened something in both of them.

Opposites Attract
While Anna’s an adventurous super spy who’s always lived life on the edge, Finn’s pretty much a stodgy, by-the-book doctor. She lives for thrills and espionage. He’s all about facts and formulas.
But, put them together and they ignite something in each other. Anna’s a little less tough and a little more coy and playful. Finn goes from staid and serious to smooth and suave. Suddenly, they’re a perfect fiery fit.
The Family Approves
After grilling Finn during his pretend date with Anna, Mac (John J. York) accepted him as an aboveboard guy and worthy significant other for his former sister-in-law. Felicia (Kristina Wagner) quickly assessed the doctor as a good guy, too.
While Robin didn’t get many answers from Anna when she quizzed her about Finn, she was clearly happy at the thought of her mom finally embarking on personal life.
Anna’s whole family has welcomed Finn into the fold, and that’s half the battle for any couple.
