All’s Well That Ends Well? Is Jason Morgan Everything We Wanted On General Hospital?

It’s now been nearly nine months since Patient 6 revealed his eyes and we knew those eyes belonged to Jason Morgan on General Hospital (GH).

Of course, we had to wait about two months for confirmation Steve Burton was indeed playing Jason Morgan, but in soap time, that’s relatively short.

During that time, we’ve been introduced to a whole new character named Drew Cain who we really don’t know too much about. (That’s ok, neither does he, but that’s a whole other story.)

And Jason has fit seamlessly back into his old life–well, at least his old “professional” life. He’s still minus the girl.

But, is this really what GH fans wanted after getting to know and love Billy Miller in the role of Jason for three years? Did it turn out right in the end? That’s what Soap Hub asked and you certainly answered.

After nearly 7,000 votes were tallied, a whopping 93% of you are both thrilled and relieved that Patient 6 indeed turned out to be Jason. Really, who else could he be? Those piercing blue eyes, that stone cold demeanor, that killer instinct–they could only belong to Jason Morgan.

Sure, you still haven’t had your big Jasam reunion,, but you’re willing to be patient because at least you have Jason and you know things seem headed in that direction.

Still, 7% of you will never get over losing Billy Miller as Jason. He was everything you wanted Jason to be since the fateful accident that turned Jason Quartermaine into Jason Morgan more than 20 years ago. But, there’s a reason for that. Miller still plays a Q–he’s Jason’s twin, so it makes sense he’s so much like the original Jason.

It’s like getting the best of both worlds, but this twin named Drew has agreed to divorce Sam and that’s just a no-no in your book and you want things to go back to the way they were a year ago.

So, for most of you, it’s all’s well that ends well, but it’s a soap, so it never really ends and there’s a whole lot more of Jason Morgan’s (and Drew Cain’s) story to tell.

General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
