Did Alex Devane Pull a Fast One on General Hospital’s Valentin?

It all seems rather fishy on General Hospital (GH) this week that Anna has absolutely no recollection of sleeping with Valentin or turning double agent so soon in her career.

In fact, she looks at Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) like he’s insane, making her think that she herself has lost her mind.

Longtime GH fans can specifically recall that Anna (Finola Hughes) was a virgin when she first met Robert and her first time was with him, the father of daughter, Robin (Kimberly McCullough).

If Anna slept with Valentin before she ever met Robert, then that’s some serious rewriting of established show history going back decades. Robert (Tristan Rogers) and Anna fans do not take kindly to that.

In fact, some are wondering if Anna doesn’t remember what happened because it never did. Soap Hub thinks they might be right.

No, we don’t think Valentin is lying and remembers things as they happened to him. However, he had no idea Anna has a twin sister named Alex.

At the time, neither did Anna, and supposedly Alex didn’t even know. But, perhaps she did and impersonated Anna that early in their lives.

Alex Devane was a pivotal character on All My Children during its last decade. The last we’d heard of her, Alex was off in Europe after divorcing Dimitri Marick (Michael Nader), so its always possible she could show up in Port Charles, cause havoc for Anna, and eventually clear this whole mess up.

Alex arriving on the GH scene would make sense of Anna’s alleged memory loss and keep Robert and Anna’s romantic history intact. In fact, it might be the only explanation for this insanity that fans will accept.
