Last week, Soap Hub reported that former GH star Emma Samms was battling Bell’s Palsy. She’s doing much better, thanks to the care of a former co-star!
Back in the 1980s, when Samms was first playing Holly, there was another beautiful ingenue in Port Charles — and she was a member of the Quartermaine clan. Celia was played by Sherilyn Wolter, and it looks like the two actresses have remained friends.
In fact, Samms credits Wolter, who was staying with her through this ordeal, for helping her recover to the point where she no longer needs to wear the eyepatch she had last week.
She even tweeted current snap of the two of them and both look as stunning as ever.
If you’re having trouble remembering Celia or you weren’t watching GH in the ’80s, she was involved with Grant Putnum (Brian Patrick Clarke of Eight is Enough fame). There was a whole lookalike story with Grant Andrews, with one of the men being a DVX agent.
In the middle of loving both men, she also fell for her cousin, Jimmy Lee Holt (Steve Bond), who turned out to be Edward’s illegitimate son. Yeah, that was strange but both actors had such gorgeous eyes, the audience just went with it.
It’s a fun blast from the past to see Wolter with Samms, but it also makes you wonder — with so few Qs left in Port Charles, it sure would be fun to see Celia make her way back to town with a couple of kids in tow.
General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
And look who just happened to be staying with me and has looked after me wonderfully! It’s only the stunningly beautiful Sherilyn Wolter #friend #Celia pic.twitter.com/nQniX7TANB

Happy to report that the paralysis on my face is now 90 percent better and I no longer need to wear the eyepatch.
Thank you again for all your kind words. They really helped! #bellspalsy 😏— Emma Samms MBE (@EmmaSamms1) April 30, 2018
