Ava got in Griffin’s face and challenged him to stop shielding his heart from his feelings and open up to passion this week on General Hospital (GH).
She had a good point. There’s just one problem. The cold, calculating, and murderous Ava (Maura West) is not necessarily the woman who should be on the other end of his affections when Griffin (Matt Cohen) finally decides to open up to love.
Here’s a list of five other PC ladies who deserve Father/Dr. Hot Stuff more than Ava.
Kiki
Kiki’s (Hayley Erin) a nurse’s aide and studying pre-med. Griffin’s a doctor. It’s a match made in hospital heaven.
They’re both kind, caring do-gooders who would be perfect for one another. And if Ava really wants to do what’s best for both of them, she’d encourage the pairing.
Nina
She may be married to Valentin (James Patrick Stuart), but Nina (Michelle Stafford) has to know there’s no happily ever after in the cards with the unscrupulous Cassadine.
He’s bound to screw up again and leave her broken hearted. After everything she’s been through, she needs a solid, honest man she can count on. Griffin’s all that and more.

Valerie
Having lost at love with both Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Curtis (Donnell Turner), Valerie (Brytni Sarpy) is ripe for a new romance.
The young cop is clearly attracted to unavailable men. After all, she had flings with Dante, who’s married Lulu (Emme Rylan), and Curtis, who’s hung up on Jordan (Vinessa Antoine). Griffin could be her biggest challenge, yet.
Sam
Who better to help Sam (Kelly Monaco) work through her upcoming “Two Jasons” dilemma than Griffin?
While turning to him for counsel and guidance, she could realize there’s something to be said for a kinder, gentler man. After years of loving mobsters, Sam might be ready to move on in a new direction.
Amy
Here’s another intriguing hospital matchup: Dr. Griffin and Nurse Amy (Risa Dorken). Amy’s a selfless soul, who’s taking on the care of her war vet brother. It’s the kind of act that would warm Griffin’s heart and, if Amy’s lucky, it might open it up, too.
