Sam wants a divorce so she can marry Drew, a move that’s infuriated Jason and Sam fans on General Hospital (GH).
Before being snatched from Port Charles, Jason (Steve Burton) was Sam’s (Kelly Monaco) soulmate; the man who inspired her to leave her con woman past behind and get her life together.
So, Sam not welcoming him back with open arms seems like a serious slap in the face to viewers, who can’t imagine her feelings for Drew (Billy Miller) comparing to her love Jason. In fact, until two months ago, she thought she was married to Jason.
Still, Sam remains intent on forging forward with her future with Drew, leaving Jason and Sam fans hoping for a storyline miracle. Could the fate of it all rest in Jason’s hands? Here are four ways Jason can win back Sam.
Start Acting Stone Cold
So far, Jason’s been a powerless puppy when it comes to Sam. She calls, he comes running. She asks a favor, he does it.
Heck, despite still loving her, he’s agreed to her divorce request–and even told her he still loves her.
Jason needs to put an end to all of it; stop being the nice guy who’s always at Sam’s beck and call, and start living up to his Stone Cold moniker. Moving forward, he should suggest all their communication goes through their lawyers. Once he starts acting ambivalent toward Sam, she might long for the man she lost.
Find a New Woman
It’s easy to push a man aside, knowing he’s still pining away for you and waiting in the wings. But how do you think Sam would react if she saw Jason with a new woman?

If she believed he was actually getting over her and moving on, he might turn into the man that got away and it might awaken something inside her. She might feel pangs of jealousy and realize she still wants him.
Oh, Danny Boy
While Sam can totally eradicate Jason from her life, there’s no pushing him out of their son Danny’s. Jason deserves to forge a relationship with the boy, which means spending quality time with him.
Seeing father and son together reconnecting could make Sam nostalgic for what might have been, had Faison not ripped their family apart. And she’d recognize that she could actually have it all back.
Connect Drew to His Past
Perhaps Jason needs to find a way for Drew to have his old memories restored. Drew’s past – his life, his loves, his feelings – is a total mystery to him. Surely, he had strong past connections he’d want to revisit and re-examine.
Perhaps there was another woman, someone Drew was deeply devoted to and loved madly. Who knows? He could end up dropping Sam to resume his life with her.
