Will and Grace
Will & Grace is wrapping up its revival run next month but before the show goes off the air, it’s going to pay tribute to another sitcom — the one many consider to be television’s greatest — I Love Lucy.
Series co-creator/executive producer Max Mutchnick previewed a clip of the episode on Instagram, titled We Love Lucy, featuring Debra Messing (Grace) recreating Lucy’s famous Vita-meata-vegamin commercial in which she became inebriated due to the alcohol content of the product.

Will & Grace, created by the writing team of Max Mutchnick and David Kohan, debuted on September 21, 1998, and ran until May 18, 2006. Set in New York City, the sitcom tells the story of best friends Grace Adler, a straight interior designer, and Will Truman (Eric McCormack), a gay lawyer. Megan Mullally plays Karen Walker, Grace’s friend and “assistant.” Sean Hayes plays Jack McFarland, Will’s pal.
All four cast members won a Primetime Emmy for their work on the show. (Mullally won two Emmys for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.)
The cast gathered together to reprise their roles in a 2016 YouTube video encouraging voters to partake in the Presidential election. The video was so well-received, NBC brought the show back for a revival for three additional seasons.
Legendary comedy director James Burrows (Cheers, Frasier) has directed every episode of Will & Grace. The show airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. on NBC.
