Former Bachelorette star Wells Adams has a few things to say about The Bachelor’s newest villain, Demi Burnett.
On this week’s episode, Demi shocked everybody by kissing Colton Underwood in front of the other girls.
While it may have seemed like a good idea to the 23-year-old contestant at the time, Wells thinks it will backfire later.
“You’re not supposed to make out with the lead in front of everybody else. You’re going to make it weird for everybody else,” Wells told Entertainment Tonight.
“I remember that was a thing we didn’t do on JoJo’s season; you wouldn’t be blatantly making out in front of everybody else. That’s why it’s ‘Can I steal you’… to go talk or make out.”
He continued, “So right when [Demi kissed Colton], I was like, ‘Oh! She did it in front of a crowd!'”
And, though Demi seems like the obvious villain at this point, Wells thinks there are a few others that will emerge.
“I can understand why everyone got upset. But everyone’s a villain!” he said.
“You’ve got Demi, the girl with a dog [Catherine], and then you’ve got the beauty queens [Hannah B. and Caelynn] and someone’s a villain.”
He continued, “They might both be villains! … Demi’s going to the end, whether you like it or not. Demi’s going to the end!”
As for people complaining about girls “stealing” time with Colton, Wells wishes the leading man would have said something at the time.
“I think everyone’s kind of on pins and needles about when the night’s going to end and when you’re going to have your time, so I get that they are freaking out about the whole thing,” he shared.
“But I wished on the first episode when Catherine stole four times or whatever, that Colton had said, ‘You know what, I kind of want to talk to everybody here.’ … And I don’t know if [producers] were like, ‘This is good!’ I don’t know.”
What did you think of the kiss?
