McDreamy’s back… as is The Nanny; two shocking cancer diagnoses; and a Hollywood legend dies. Here’s what you missed this past week in entertainment news.

Entertainment News: Dire Diagnoses

Stunning news from Beverly Hills, 90210 star Shannen Doherty: she is battling Stage 4 cancer. Former co-star, Brian Priestly, who played Doherty’s twin brother on the popular primetime show, has reached out to the actress to offer his support.

Meanwhile, radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh announced that he’s been diagnosed with advanced lung cancer. His treatments will mean he’ll miss time from his show.

CBS Snags McDreamy
McDreamy is headed back to your television screens. Actor Patrick Dempsey, who portrayed the popular Grey’s Anatomy doctor, is shooting a pilot for CBS that centers on American politics.

The Nanny’s Back
Beloved as The Nanny, comedian Fran Drescher is tackling a brand new series for NBC. The show is titled Indebted, and with Drescher aboard, it’s bound to be hilarious.

A Legend Dies

Hollywood megastar Kirk Douglas has passed away at the age of 103. The star will be sorely missed by family, friends, and fans.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, who worked beside the screen legend, shared some special words about the star — and what Douglas meant to him.

Gene Reynolds, the creative force behind M*A*S*H and Lou Grant, also died. He was 96.

Speaking Out
Mia St. John, the former wife of the late Kristoff St. John (ex-Neil, The Young and the Restless), paid a visit to The Doctors to speak out on the topic of mental health. It was a heartbreaking episode, focusing on her son Julian’s suicide, and how it led to Kristoff’s death.

Ashton Talks Stepdaughters
Despite divorcing Demi Moore in 2013, Ashton Kutcher has nothing but love for her daughters Rumer, 31, Scout, 28, and Tallulah, 26. Find out why he’ll always be rooting for their success.

Mariska’s Biggest Fan

Love Stories
Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen’s relationship was set in motion when they met for a dinner date in 1993… although it was strictly business at the time.

Mariska Hargitay and Peter Hermann have an enduring love. But do you know how it all started?

Soap stars Chad Duell (Michael, GH) and Courtney Hope (Sally, B&B) originally met at a party and hit it off. But, if truth be told, Hope nearly blew it off.
