Good news. The Voice is set to welcome back an old favorite to the spinning red chair when this NBC talent show returns next season.
Apparently, Miley Cyrus and Jennifer Hudson aren’t sticking around for another round as their seats have been claimed by Alicia Keys, along with Kelly Clarkson.
This move is not unusual since many The Voice arbiters have come and gone and returned again while Blake Shelton and Adam Levine have remained show fixtures since the very beginning.
As you may remember, Keys reported to duty on the NBC program for season 12, mentoring Chris Blue who was named the winner of the competition.
“We are thrilled to welcome back Alicia’s positive energy, competitive spirit and sheer talent. She brings unparalleled expertise and has proven she knows how to help artists win,” said Paul Telegdy, NBC president of the alternative and reality group.
He added, “The chemistry between Alicia, Kelly, Adam, and Blake will make for a wildly unpredictable and compelling season 14!”
Meanwhile, season 13 is in full throttle as the fierce battle rounds wind down this week.
The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m., ET, on NBC.
